The Space to Think
TwinDesktop started with a personal frustration.
I spend a lot of time working with automation tools, scripts, and more recently, AI agents. But everything had to run on the same desktop where I was also doing my own work — emails, documents, meetings, research. My screen slowly turned into a control center, and not in a good way.
It felt like my computer had become crowded — not because it was slow, but because it had no structure for the way we work today.
Modern work doesn't happen on just one desktop anymore. We're not just using apps — we're running processes, automations, and intelligent systems alongside us. But our computers are still designed as if one person, doing one thing at a time, is the only use case.
I didn't want another device.
I didn't want a virtual machine.
And I definitely didn't want to manage cloud infrastructure just to keep automations separate from my daily work.
I just wanted a second space. On the same computer. Using the same resources. Simple.
That idea became TwinDesktop — a fully functional second desktop that lives inside your existing one. Not a remote session. Not a VM. Just a parallel workspace where background automations and AI agents can run without getting in your way.
Now, I can let automations work on one side while I focus on thinking, building, and creating on the other. Same machine. No extra hardware. No infrastructure overhead.
We're still a small team, and we're building this because we needed it ourselves. Our goal isn't to reinvent computing — it's to make room for how computing is evolving, where humans and AI systems work side by side.
TwinDesktop is simply about creating a little breathing room inside the digital world.
See if it fits your workflow.
